Balusters are the vertical components of a railing system, providing both structural support and aesthetic detail. Balusters come in a variety of materials, including wood, metal, glass, and vinyl, and they are available in numerous styles and designs, ranging from simple and functional to ornate and decorative. Once you choose your railing type, you may accessorize with the following baluster options:  

• Square or round balusters. 

• Face mount pickets also add a very unique touch to the entire structure. These are a little different from the standard balusters and are affixed to the outside of the deck and overlap the top as well as the bottom rails. You can choose from arc, baroque or twisted pickets. 

• Glass balusters can be used in areas where there is already a fantastic view and you do not want it to be marred with any other materials.
